STRESS MANAGEMENT GROUP COACHING

4 sessions of 90 minutes - no more than 12 participants

Session One

What is stress? How and where do we feel it?  How do we respond to it?  It’s impact on the body and health.

Session Two

Modifiable Lifestyle Factors & Stress - Part 1: Sleep and Movement: The importance of sleep and some tools for better sleep to improve stress; as well as movement tools (including yoga, nature walks. Shaking and dancing, etc.

Session Three

Modifiable Lifestyle Factors & Stress - Part 2: Nutrition and Relationships: How can we eat better to reduce stress? What foods trigger stress? The importance of community, connection, and relationships as a stress reduction tool.

Session Four

Mind-Body connection - Vagus nerve, Parasympathetic/Sympathetic nervous system - An introduction to the autonomic nervous system and its impact on stress - a look at triggers and getting curious with their underlying causes . Worksheet exercise - Traffic lights of Tolerance - Mapping Your Nervous System and Vagus Nerve stimulation (tools)
